Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe airport and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a night game drive
On the first day of the safari, you will be picked up by a representative guide from Entebbe Airport, and the guide will provide you with information about the safari and its conduct. After that briefing session, you will then set off to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a stopover at Amabere Ga Nyinamwiru, where you will explore Uganda safaris around the caves and also get to see the craters near it.
You will have an en-route lunch and proceed to the Queen Elizabeth National Park, and once you arrive, you will get a lodge and check in. You will then head for a briefing at the park headquarters before you set off for a night drive. The night drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park takes about 2 hours, and you will get the opportunity to see the nocturnal animals during the night game drive. Some of the nocturnal animals that you will see include the lions, hyenas, leopards, serval cats, civets, among others. You will then be taken back to the lodge, have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 2: Morning game drive and a boat cruise
On the 2nd day of the safari, you will wake up as early as possible and have breakfast at the lodge. You will then be transferred by the guide to the headquarters for briefing. You will be briefed by the park wardens about how you will conduct the morning game drive, and then you will be given a ranger guide to go with you for the morning game drive. The morning game drive enables you to see several animals since they are very active in the morning as they rise from their habitats. You will spot animals like the lions, leopards, elephants, bushbucks, warthogs, buffaloes, kobs and many more. You will then be taken back to the lodge by the guide. At the lodge, you will be given lunch at the lodge and you can rest for some time.
A guide will pick you up from the lodge and take you to the park headquarters for a briefing before you set off for an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. You will set off with a guide who will be responsible for guiding and answering your questions. While on the boat cruise at the Kazinga channel, you will be able to see animals like the hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and many more. Some will be spotted in water and others along the shores. You will then head back to the lodge after the boat cruise. At the lodge, you will have your dinner meal and then head to bed for your night’s rest.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Kampala
On the last day of the safari, you will have an early morning breakfast at the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park. A guide will come and pick you up from the lodge, and you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will be told the do’s and don’ts about a chimpanzee trek, and then you will go with a ranger guide for the chimpanzee trek. The chimpanzee trek in Queen Elizabeth National Park takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours, and while searching for the chimpanzees, you will come across a number of animals, birds and various tree species. You will spend 1 hour with the chimpanzees once you spot them. You will be able to observe how they interact, play and feed. After taking shots of them, you will be transferred back to the lodge, and you will check out.
The guide will then drive you back to Kampala with a stopover at a hotel for lunch. You will arrive at a hotel where you will spend the night, and then head for your flight to Entebbe airport the next day.
