Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Kampala and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
A Chopper Tour and Travel representative will pick you up from a hotel in Kampala, and you will begin the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a stopover at Mpambire drum makers for a cultural experience, where you will learn how the drums are made at this place and also buy souvenirs. You will also have pictures at the Equator monument. You will go ahead with the journey, and you have a stopover at Mbarara town.
You will have lunch at a hotel in Mbarara town and then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, you will check into a lodge, freshen up and have dinner. After dinner, you will retire to bed.

Day 2: Morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains and an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel
You will have breakfast at the lodge, and the guide will transfer you to the park headquarters after completing breakfast. You will be briefed, and then you will go for a morning game drive of about 3 to 4 hours. You will have views of the tree-climbing lions as you drive to the Kasenyi plains. On this game drive, you will be able to spot animals rising from their habitats since they are always very active in the morning. You will spot elephants, lions, leopards, antelopes, zebras, buffaloes and many more. The guide will take you back to the lodge after the morning game drive.
You will relax and then be given lunch. After lunch, you will go for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. The boat cruise at the Kazinga Channel will take approximately 2 to 3 hours as you spot a variety of animals, those on the shores and those in the water. You will spot hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, lions and many more. The guide will take you back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and departure to Kampala
You will have breakfast early at 6 am in the morning, and you will head to the park headquarters after the briefing. You will meet guides who will brief you about chimpanzee trekking. You will set off from the park headquarters with an armed ranger guide, and you will go for Uganda chimpanzee trekking. You will search for the chimpanzees for about 30 minutes to 4 hours, depending on their location. You will have one hour with the chimpanzees once you find them. The chimpanzee trek will take place in the Kyambura Gorge, and after the experience you will have with the chimpanzees in their habitat, you will head back to the lodge.
You will check out of the lodge, and the guide will drive you back to Kampala. On the way to Kampala, you will have an en route lunch, and then you will proceed. You will be dropped off at a hotel in Kampala.
