After an early-morning breakfast, carry your packed lunchbox from the lodge and then meet up with your driver-guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will start hiking in the jungle in search of mountain gorillas, which takes about 30 minutes to 6 hours, depending on where the gorillas are found. As you are trekking, you will have chances to see other primate species such as L’hoest monkeys, chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, different plant species, and birds, among others. On finding them, you will be given one hour to spend with them in their natural habitat, which gives you a chance to observe their habits and behaviours, take photos, and record the thrilling moments to show people back home after the safari.

After the one-hour gorilla encounter, you will walk back to the meeting point to meet up with your driver-guide to connect you to your lodge. Have dinner and an overnight stay as above.
