Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake up and enjoy your morning breakfast as you wait to be picked up from your hotel in Kampala city. Then, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a stopover at the equator for memorable photography. Continue to Mbarara town to have a picnic lunch. Arrive at the park, check into the lodge and rest a bit.
Later, head out on the evening game drive in the Ishasha sector in the southern part of the park. Expecting to sightsee various animal species like the tree-climbing lions, kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, buffaloes, and elephant herds, among others. Dinner and an overnight stay

Day 2: Morning game drive and Evening boat cruise
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge before embarking on the morning game drive to look for the missed-out animals on the evening game drive. During your evening game drive in the Kasenyi plains, expect to see a variety of mammals such as herds of elephants crossing the road, buffaloes, waterbucks, Uganda kobs and many more. Drive back to the lodge and have lunch as you prepare for the evening boat cruise.
After lunch, head out on the impressive boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel at 2 PM. Expecting to sightsee the concentration of numbers of hippos, crocodiles, and other animals along the banks of water while drinking water, such as elephants, buffalo, and waterbucks, among others. Return to the lodge for rest, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge
Wake up and have breakfast with a packed lunch at the lodge. Be driven to the meeting point for chimpanzee tracking dos and don’ts. Then, meet the park ranger who leads you through the Kyambura Gorge trails in search of chimpanzee groups. As you are tracking, you will have a chance to spot other primates like red-tailed monkeys, colobus monkeys, black and white monkeys, and various bird species and vegetation, among others.
On finding chimpanzees, you will be given one hour to observe them as they play around, feed their young ones, swing on the tree branches and capture videos. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Community walk/Return to Kampala
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before heading out on the community walk led by an experienced local guide. You will be involved in visiting the fish landing site, learning about traditional canoes and having a chance to view women making crafts, as well as visiting cratered lands. After, drive back to Kampala to be dropped off at your place of choice. End of the 4 Days Uganda safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
