Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Afternoon Kazinga Channel Cruise

Your safari begins early in the morning with pickup from Kampala at a hotel by a professional chopper tour and travel company representative. The drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park takes approximately 5 to 6 hours, offering beautiful scenery along the way. Upon arrival at the park, you will check into a booked lodge. After checking in and enjoying lunch at your lodge, the afternoon takes you on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel.

The Kazinga Channel is a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. As you conduct the boat cruise, you will come across hippos, Nile crocodiles and many more. Elephants and buffalo frequently come to the water’s edge to drink, offering incredible photography moments. The channel is also a bird lover’s paradise, with African fish eagles, pied kingfishers, saddle-billed storks, pelicans and many more.
