Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start your trip by being picked up from your hotel or at Entebbe Airport by our safari driver-guide. Then, be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda with a stop in Kayabwe at the Equator to experience the longitude at 0°C as well as picture taking. Proceed to another stop in Mbarara for lunch en route. Arriving at the park in the late afternoon, check into your lodge.

Later, embark on the evening game drive in the Kasenyi plains, where you will be able to spot a vast array of animals such as herds of elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, waterbucks, and lions, among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game drive and Boat cruise in Queen

Morning Game Drive: Wake up early and have breakfast at the lodge; thereafter, drive to the park for a morning game drive in the Ishasha sector, where you expect to see the tree-climbing lions among other species. Enjoy lunch at the lodge.

Afternoon boat cruise: After having your lunch, embark on the boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you will be able to see various water animals, such as a large number of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes, while they are quenching their thirst for water along the shores of the channel. You will also sight numerous water birds like grey-headed kingfishers, swamp nightjars, little bee-eaters, martins, swallows, Nubian woodpeckers, and many more. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay as above.

Day 3: Nature walk/Return to Kampala or Entebbe Airport

Nature walk: After morning breakfast at the lodge, head out on the guided nature walks through Maramagambo Forest on foot to experience life while in the jungle. Expect to visit the bat cave and spot a variety of monkeys, such as black and white monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and colobus monkeys; species of birds like the African skimmer, black crake, yellow-backed weaver, pied kingfisher, martial eagle, African fish eagle, grey-headed kingfisher, and white-winged tern; and wildlife animals like elephants, buffalos, and kobs; and green vegetation and many more. Return to the lodge and have your packed lunch. Then, drive out of the park and depart back to Kampala. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at any convenient place.
