This is a 5 days Bwindi gorillas and Ishasha tree climbing lions, where you will visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with the aim of gorilla trekking, and you proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will meet the tree climbing lions in the Ishasha sector during the afternoon and morning game drive. You will conduct a boat cruise at the Kazinga channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park while on your Uganda safari trip, and then you will be taken back to Kampala, which will mark the end of the 5 days Bwindi gorillas and Ishasha tree climbing lions.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe airport to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On the first day of the 5 days Bwindi gorillas and Ishasha tree climbing lions, you will meet and greet with a guide at Entebbe Airport. You will go through the details of the 5 days Bwindi gorillas and Ishasha tree climbing lions. You will start the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will have a stopover for pictures at Kayabwe at the equator monument.
You will also visit the Mpambire drum makers for a cultural experience. You will learn how these people make the drums. You will then continue with the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will have a stopover at Igongo Cultural Centre for lunch and a tour around. You will then arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening. You will check into a lodge, have dinner and then retire to bed.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking
On the second day of the 5 days Bwindi gorillas and Ishasha tree climbing lions, you will have an early morning breakfast at the lodge, and then you will be picked up by the guide from the lodge. You will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will be briefed about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. After being briefed about the guidelines to follow when gorilla trekking, you will be allocated a gorilla family to find and be given an armed ranger guide to escort you. You will then start the gorilla trek.
You will trek for approximately 30 minutes to 7 hours searching for the gorillas, but this depends on the location of the gorillas. You will then spend 1 hour with the gorillas in their natural habitat as you observe the way they feed, play, breastfeed and many more. You will then take pictures of the gorillas. You will be taken back to the lodge by the guide, and you will have lunch. After having lunch, you will relax and then have dinner in the evening. You will retire to bed.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an afternoon game drive in the Ishasha sector
On the third day of the 5 days Bwindi gorillas and Ishasha tree climbing lions, you will have breakfast at the lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will check out of the lodge. After checking out, the guide will transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will arrive and check into a lodge. You will have lunch and then go for a briefing at the park headquarters.
You will go for an afternoon game drive in the Ishasha sector. You will get the chance to see the tree-climbing lions in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will see these lions hanging from trees or resting under the trees. You will also spot other animals like the elephants, buffalo, bushbucks and many more. You will then be returned to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Morning game drive and an afternoon boat cruise
On the fourth day of the 5 days Bwindi gorillas and Ishasha tree climbing lions, you will have an early morning breakfast and then be briefed at the park headquarters. You will conduct a morning game drive in the Ishasha sector in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will see the wildlife rising from their habitats in search of food. You will spot the tree-climbing lions and other wildlife species, including leopards, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs and many more. You will see the ecosystems in this park and then head to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. The boat cruise will take about 2 to 3 hours, and you will spot animals like hippos, crocodiles and many more. You will then be taken back to the lodge, and you will relax. You will be served dinner in the evening, and then you will retire to bed.

Day 5: Depart for Kampala
On the final day of the 5 days Bwindi gorillas and Ishasha tree climbing lions, you will be given breakfast at the lodge, and then you will check out of the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will then start the journey to Kampala. You will have an enroute lunch and proceed with the journey. You will arrive at a hotel in Kampala or be taken to Entebbe Airport for a flight.
