Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Kampala and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for a boat cruise at Lake Mburo
Early in the morning on day 1 of the safari, a guide will meet you at the hotel in Kampala, and the guide will give you information about the safari. After interacting, the guide will transfer you from the hotel to Lake Mburo National Park. You will have a stopover at Kayabwe at the equator monument, where you will get the opportunity to take pictures there and then go ahead with the journey. You will then have the second stop at Igongo Cultural Centre, and you will have lunch. After lunch, a guide at Igongo Cultural Centre will help you to tour around, and you get to see the historical items that are kept there. Most of the items kept there speak volumes about the history, traditions and culture of the Ankole people.
After the tour at Igongo cultural centre, you will proceed to Lake Mburo National Park and at Lake Mburo, you will have a boat cruise and you will explore the lake with several views of bird species, animal species and the vegetation. You will get all the information needed from the guide who will escort you, and then you will leave for a lodge where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early morning breakfast at the lodge, and then the guide transfers you to the park headquarters for a briefing. After being briefed about the morning game drive at Lake Mburo National Park, you will have a guide to go with you on the drive. You will have the opportunity to see a good number of wildlife species because they are most active in the morning. You will spot a variety of them, for example, the zebras, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes and many more. You will then return to the lodge with the guide.
You will have lunch at the lodge, and then you will check out. After checking out, the guide will transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park and at the park, you will get a lodge and check in. You will relax and have dinner. After dinner, you will have your night’s rest.

Day 3: Morning game drive and a boat cruise
Early morning breakfast on day 3 of the safari, and then leave the lodge for the park headquarters for a briefing. You will interact with the guides and then you go for s morning game drive. The game drive takes about 3 to 4 hours with numerous views of wildlife like the lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, bush pigs, Uganda kob and many more. There are scenic views of the park that you will notice during the drive, and after you return to the lodge and have lunch.
In the afternoon, you will be briefed at the park headquarters and then go for a boat cruise with the guide along the Kazinga channel. You will have the chance to see the wildlife around this channel, and some will be spotted taking water at the water banks. Some of the animals that you will spot include the hippos, crocodiles, elephants and many more. You will return to the lodge, relax and then have dinner. You will then go to bed and sleep.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking
Early morning breakfast on day 4 of the safari, and then head to the lodge for a briefing. Right after the briefing, you will have a ranger guide to take you for chimpanzee trekking. You will have one hour with the chimpanzees after taking about 30 minutes to 4 hours searching for them. While chimpanzee trekking, you will also see numerous birds, animals and plant species while walking through the trails. Your stay with the chimpanzees in their natural habitat will enable you to know how they feed, play and much more. You will capture the moments you will have with the chimpanzees, and the guide will transfer you back to the lodge.
The rest of the day will be spent at the lodge after lunch. You will have dinner later on, and you will retire to bed.
