This is a 6 days fly in gorilla habituation and Chimpanzee trekking that will involve a domestic flight to Kasese from Entebbe airport that will lead you to Kibale National Park for chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk. The next domestic flight will be to Kisoro airstrip from Kasese airstrip, which will lead to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for Batwa cultural experience and gorilla habituation and then end this Uganda safari with a domestic flight back to Entebbe airport.

Detailed itinerary of the 6 fly in gorilla habituation and Chimpanzee trekking safari
Day 1: Fly to Kibale National Park and a Bigodi swamp walk
Upon arriving at Entebbe airport, you will have a domestic flight to Kasese airstrip, and it is where you will connect with a guide who will transfer you to Kibale National Park. When you get to Kibale National Park, you will be allocated a lodge where you will relax and have lunch.
In the late afternoon, you will have a Bigodi swamp walk with a guide, and you will encounter the wildlife at the Bigodi swamp. You will have the opportunity to see birds, mammals and the plant life. You will get back to the lodge and you will refresh. You have dinner and then have your night rest.

Day 2: Chimpanzees trekking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Breakfast will be given to you at the lodge on the second day, and then you will have a chimpanzee trekking experience after being guided at the park headquarters. You will have the chimpanzee trek in Kibale forest, which may take about 30 minutes to 4 hours. You will meet other primates like the olive baboons, l’hoest monkeys, blue monkeys and many more along the way to find the chimpanzees. You will have an hour with the chimpanzees in the habitat where they reside, and then you will take pictures and make a recording.
You will get back to the lodge for lunch, and after leave the lodge to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The guide will drive you to Queen Elizabeth National Park, and it’s where you will be sheltered on day 2. You will have dinner at the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park and spend the night resting.

Day 3: Morning game drive and an afternoon boat cruise
On day 3 of the safari, you will have a morning game drive, and you will do it after a briefing and breakfast. You will have a game drive in the Kasenyi plains and you will be able to see the leopards, elephants, buffaloes, bush pigs and many more. You will get back to the lodge after the game drive and have lunch.
After lunch, a boat cruise will be done at the Kazinga channel, granting you the chance to spot wildlife along this channel, like the hippos and crocodiles. You will then head back to the lodge after the boat cruise, and you will relax. You will have dinner later on and then retire to bed.
Day 4: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and a Batwa cultural experience
On day 4 of the safari, you will have breakfast at the lodge, and then the guide will meet you after checking out of the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The guide will drive you to Kasese airstrip for your flight to Kisoro airstrip. When you arrive at Kisoro airstrip, you head with a guide by vehicle to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
You will check into a lodge at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and have lunch. After lunch, there will be s visit to the Batwa community for a Batwa cultural experience. You will engage with the Batwa people in their communities and learn more about their culture. The guide will then transfer you to the lodge for dinner and a night’s rest.

Day 5: Gorilla habituation
When you get done with breakfast at the lodge, you will have your lunch packed, and then you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will be told about the dos and don’ts during the gorilla habituation. You will have s guide to lead you and you trek to the forest with numerous wildlife views. You will find the gorilla habituated family, and you will be able to spend 4 hours with them in their natural habitat as you associate and observe how they behave. You will get answers from the guide about the questions you would like to ask, and then you will return to the lodge.
The lodge will be used to rest and also to spend some time with the guides in the remaining hours of the day. You then have dinner and go to bed for the night.
Day 6: Flight to Entebbe airport
On the last day of the safari, breakfast will be eaten at the lodge, and then you will link with the guide who will drive you to Kisoro airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe airport.
